DailyFold is a local-first personal organization app provided by Seventh Current. This policy explains how information is handled. The optional Pro purchase and shared-list features are available in version 18; the sections below apply when you choose to use them.
Information stored on your device
Events, reminders, plans, lists, notes, attachments, recordings, settings, and completion data are stored locally on your device. Attachments and audio recordings are stored in DailyFold's private app storage. Ordinary use does not require a DailyFold account. DailyFold has no advertising or behavioral tracking and does not send organizer content to a DailyFold server.
DailyFold Pro purchases
Version 18 uses Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to offer, verify, and restore a one-time Pro purchase. RevenueCat processes purchase history, an anonymous app customer ID, device and operating system information, locale, currency, and the last time the app contacted its service. This information supports entitlements and purchase analytics. RevenueCat does not receive organizer content, including plans, notes, attachments, or shared-list content. Purchase information sent to RevenueCat is encrypted in transit.
Optional shared lists
When you choose to create or open a shared list, you select one document through Android's system file picker. DailyFold reads and writes that document. It contains the list title, items, item order and completion state, identifiers, and synchronization timestamps. A provider such as Google Drive or Dropbox handles its own account, sharing permissions, and transfer under its own privacy policy. DailyFold does not run a shared-list cloud service.
DailyFold keeps a local copy for offline use. Android may retain access to the selected document so synchronization can continue. Stopping sync keeps the local copy and does not delete the provider-hosted document. Remove the document or revoke access separately through the provider.
Device permissions
DailyFold requests microphone access only when you choose to record a voice note. Recordings remain local unless you choose to share or back them up. The app may request notification and exact-alarm access for reminders and uses device boot events to restore scheduled reminders. Its access to files outside the app is limited to backup folders or shared-list documents you select through Android's system picker.
Backups and sharing
Android may include DailyFold's local database, settings, and attachment files in a device backup associated with your Android or Google account. Android controls this process through its backup limits and your device settings, and may restore the data when you reinstall or change devices.
DailyFold's own manual and automatic backups include note attachments. The local database and standard ZIP backups are not encrypted by DailyFold. Pro can password-protect exported backups. That password is stored securely on the device so DailyFold can create backups, and Seventh Current cannot recover it. DailyFold manages the latest 10 manual and automatic copies in its selected backup location. If the storage provider refuses deletion, you may need to remove older copies yourself. Copies moved or shared elsewhere, and Android system backups, must be managed separately.
When you open or share an attachment or other content, the destination app or service handles what you send under its own privacy policy.
Feedback and support
The feedback feature opens your device's email app. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to provide support and improve DailyFold.
Data retention and deletion
You can edit, archive, or delete content in DailyFold. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local content from the device, although Android may retain a system backup according to your settings. Delete external backup files, including copies outside DailyFold's selected folder, separately. Delete provider-hosted shared-list documents or revoke access through the provider; stopping sync or deleting the local copy does not remove them.
Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence or the anonymous RevenueCat customer record. Google Play may retain transaction records under its own policy and legal obligations.
Security
Password-protected Pro backups encrypt exported contents. The local database and standard backup ZIP files are not encrypted by DailyFold. DailyFold should not be used as a password manager. Protection also depends on your device security, Android backup settings, external storage, and any services you choose for sharing.
Children's privacy
DailyFold is a general productivity tool and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when DailyFold's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when updates are published.
